ABOUT MADDY
Madeline began her fitness journey as a professional dancer. From a young age, she had the privilege to practice Pilates which sparked her love of the method. She has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years and continues to be inspired by her clients daily.
She began her Pilates training with her first mentor, Sondra Karman in Illinois. After completing her B.A. in Dance Performance from Illinois State University in 2012, she moved to New York City and began working at Equinox Pilates. She later completed her second certification in Classical Pilates through the Equinox Pilates Institute. Madeline has been Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) certified since 2014 and is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercises Specialist through Dr. Sarah Duvall. She also holds certifications in Pre/Post Natal Fitness through Healthy Moms™️, Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries (FAMI) through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and in Pelvis Restoration through the Postural Restoration Institute. Madeline is currently studying the Classical Syllabus with Pilates Guru, MeJo Wiggin.
In 2020, Madeline stepped away from being a Senior Pilates Instructor for Equinox after 8 years and the Lead Teacher Trainer for Equinox Pilates Institute under the direction of Carrie Macy Samper for 4 years. When the pandemic started, Madeline along with many others had to shift plans and pivot to the virtual world. She is currently teaching private and duet sessions virtually and in person where she now resides in North Carolina. You can access her online group classes at MaddyPilates Workout. Madeline also has a website she created throughout her journey into motherhood specifically for Pregnant and Postpartum women. She welcomed her first child, Lucca, in May 2021.
One of Madeline's greatest joys is training people of all walks of life, passing on her extensive knowledge of the body, the Pilates Method, and how it can help them live to their fullest potential without fear. Her philosophy is that Pilates is for EVERY body and everyone can be enriched and benefit greatly from all that Pilates has to offer.
